Words

Words are terribly important.  Words, when put together correctly, can move men to tears and spur one to greatness.  I love words.  I love communication, the art of it.  I am fascinated by those that can properly and skillfully use words.

This video clip is a great example of words communicated well.  Regardless of your politics, just watch the scene for what it is; an example of masterful communication.

What moves you?  Who puts words together in a way that inspires you to great things?

Summer Blockbusters

As I’ve mentioned before, I love movies.  Pre-kids, I caught almost every movie I wanted to see on the opening weekend.  Once our lovely little ones arrived, it slowed but I could usually still catch the few flicks I really wanted to see.

This summer, with the move and all, I have not seen one movie in the theater except for taking my son to see to Kung Fu Panda.  (He loved it by the way and acts out the scenes all the time, I love that kid.)

Anyway, I am looking for some help here.  What’s the best movie you’ve seen this summer?  Which ones are great and which ones are not worth it?  I want some insight here so tell me why you loved or hated the movie.  What was the biggest dissapointment?  Biggest surprise?

All opinions are valid here so let ‘em rip.

Video to Start the Week

I will be updating everyone on our travels soon, but I wanted to quickly post a video.  Watch it and let me know what you think.

Interesting stuff.  I dig N. T. Wright and love his take on things.  Clearly Colbert is trying to be funny the entire time and doesn’t really take Wright seriously, but it’s still fun to watch.

Thoughts?
